Compression Lock

The Compression Lock was designed, developed, and patented by Spyderco.  This lock method provides extreme lock strength and ease of use.  The compression locking mechanism uses a leaf-like spring from a split liner in the handle of some Spyderco knives to wedge laterally between a ramp on the blade tang and the stop pin or anvil pin.  This is a ScoutEDC favorite!
